Re: National Marine Fisheries Services

Protest Letter against Federal Register:
Nov. 25, 1997, Vol. 62, Number 227 pages, 62741 -62751
If you say this will not be enforced then why the need for the regulation?

Dear Congressman:

Enclosed you will find documentation that the proposed regulation of the National Marine Fisheries Service is far more reaching than it implies. You, sir, should also realize that any regulation adopted is there to be implemented in the future. This regulation is so offensive to the core of our Constitutional Freedoms it is repulsive to even comprehend that it is a matter that I have to be writing to you about. These regulations are being implemented from Maine to California, different species being the excuse.

It should also be repulsive to you as a sitting Congressman to think that the Congress of the United States of America has delegated their authority to AGENCIES in the Bureaucracy of what once was The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, governed by a

Document that is the framework of our Nation. Which through Congressional inattention has been reduced to nothing. If private property rights are not protected for a society then that society is no longer free.

It has just occurred to me that our founding fathers must have put a provision into the framework whereby a private citizen could address a joint session of Congress if that address was to bring before them their concern for the welfare of the Nation. I am requesting of you to get me that right to call to the attention of the Congress of the United States where the unchecked regulations of the National Marine Fisheries Services is taking us with the Agreements reached through the United Nations, and NAFTA sidebar adoptions. It would appear that no member of Congress has the insight or character to stop the disintegration of our Constitution and the United States of America.

Sincerely,

 Nancy E. Gregg
