Siskiyou Daily News LogoGregg column was right on the mark

he recent guest opinion column in our paper written by Nancy Gregg, "None dare call it conspiracy," pretty much said it as it was.

One very important point that I detected in Ms. Gregg's column was the way in which our federal and state bureaucrats seem to be able to divide our citizens against each other. Up until a few years ago, resource interest user groups within our nation were constantly at odds with each other, each wrapped up in their own agenda and concerns, with the agency bureaucrats intentionally dividing the possible strength of unity.

     This has changed.

Now you see the sportsmen and most of our resource users all working together. Why? These groups have become aware of the facts that they cannot protect and represent their concerns without strong unity and each has common concerns involving self preservation and the management of our renewable natural resources.

Resource user interest groups are concerned about multiple use of our renewable natural resources and the involvement necessary to

successfully build local economies and letting all of us go about pursuing the American dream, while preserving the environment and resource.

Most of us that have represented the resource communities have long been aware of the feds' technique of dividing and conquering and the threat that the United Nations is presenting to the American way of life and our Free Republic. before this worldwide organization can make its final move to smother our nation's citizens under the blanket of socialism, it first must make sure there is very little means of resistance among those it wishes to defeat.

Last year there were four regional "firearms workshops"held by representatives from anti-gun ownership nations to work on developing a "U.N. Universal Declaration of Principles on Firearms." This declaration could influence firearms policies worldwide by its inherent "credibility" as a U.N. pronouncement.

Such a declaration would be next to impossible to repeal.

Universal declarations are almost always followed by a "convention" or treaty which becomes domestic law in America, not by the vote of congress, but by vote of the senate only.

Ms. Gregg was right about the threat of the U.N. and the "New World Order" in her article. If the law abiding gun owners of this nation lose their Second Amendment Rights because of these two influential factors, the American people will lose their Constitution and their Free Republic. There will be no means of individual defense or resistance to protect either.

It's up to every concerned citizen to become involved in the protection of our nation. We are under fire from outside forces which seek to destroy what our forefathers fought so hard to hand down to us generation after generation.

Write or call your legislators and let them know your concerns. The key to winning is dedicated involvement.
